Dear Oz Nahum Tiram,
openmpi_ext is not so impractible. I may suggest you to setup a toy cluster
with static ips and then setup ssh connection without password for your mpi
user.
Finally you run the same octave programs in the same folder copied in
their respective hard drives. You may also mix 32bits cpu with 64bit cpus and
automate the things with scripts.
What do you think about this setup?
