Your last mail was not impolite in any way. Rather, our lack of response

I have not had the time to look at the patch, but is is on my todo.
Currently, audio handling does not work very well in Octave and it is
great to see new people taking their stabs at getting this into shape. I
think working with pulseaudio on Linux most likely makes sense. I do not
know if we should try to find a cross-platform solution or if we should
go for a series of platform dependent solutions. Any thoughts on this?
