Works fine for me on Ubuntu 10.10 -- greatly appreciated as I was
unsuccessful compiling 3.4.x from source (mostly, I'm sure, because I don't
really know what I'm doing -- I could never get to the end of the
dependencies).
My only problem so far has nothing to do with installation -- I need fminbnd
(single-variable optimizer in core octave) to accept optional parameters,
which the version in Octave 3.4.3-r0 does not do. I know the basics of what
to do (using varargin), but something I don't understand that isn't in the
function itself (like the "texinfo" system??) keeps generating a usage
message when I add the extra parameters, even if I update the "typedeffn"
information to be like other functions with this feature. Any pointers
appreciated.
