Hello I have execute (system("cmd.exe") ) , then execute (chcp 437) (US code page) then (exit) come back to the octave prompt. The behaviors were improved. For example (ls) results aligns properly. However, * Marker in Octave cmd prompt in octave-gui is 2-4 spaces on the right, compared to where it should be. (Ole Jacob Hagen reported) was not improved.
