Hi,

I am running into a problem that is bugging me quite a lot.
We have the package msh, that to fully work needs gmsh installed in
the system. Now in Ubuntu 11.10 one cannot install gmsh and
libhdf5-serial.
I tried several options provided mpiopen, etc... but withthem other
packages (geometry, miscellaneous, etc) fail to compile.

Any ideas how to solve this? Thank you

Here is the output of apt-get when I try to install libhdf5-serial

The following extra packages will be installed:
  libhdf5-serial-1.8.4
Suggested packages:
  libhdf5-doc
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  gmsh libhdf5-openmpi-1.8.4 libhdf5-openmpi-dev libmed1
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  libhdf5-serial-1.8.4 libhdf5-serial-dev
0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 4 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
