I just checked in to the repository a completely revamped version of secs1d 
that should 
be much easier to package and also contains a manual with demos.

Could you please use the svn version for preparing packages?
If everything looks fine I'll make the release.

P.S. The manual was created with help from the new package generate_latex that 
I also just checked-in
which is a quick hack based on Søren's generate_html. It is far from being 
complete but already proved 
useful (at least for myself).
