Some time ago I made a quick and brittle implementation of bwlabeln for the image package because I needed it for some code at work. I am pondering fixing it so that it actually does more than solve the immediate problem I had then, but I wonder if anyone cares. I have never seen anyone request any of the other 3d image functions from the Matlab image package, so perhaps I should just spend my time doing other things, like fixing the fixed package which does seem to have some demand.
