Hmmm.. I don't have a clue. For me it's exactly the same username and password yes. Try to ask Sourceforge for support (see https://sourceforge.net/support ). I have many times before filled request on their ticket system and they are usually quick about it. Their support through IRC is also quite fast (but don't bother outside their business hours).
