The release process creates a src distribution that can't be build because the
module section is commented out. This causes errors when being build with the
pedantic profile and doesn't build the submodules when invoked without a
profile.
Also, the binary distribution doesn't include the mandatory dependencies. This
makes it harder for newcomers to start with the project.
