Time for another release?

Hi All

We're coming up on 2 years since the last release, which is rather longer 
than generally recommended for active projects. There have been a fair 
number of bugs fixed since then, which many users won't have access to. A 
release could also drive a bit more interest

So, what do you all think about doing another release sometime soon? Maybe 
roll a beta release pretty much immediately, let people test it for a few 
weeks + commit any remaining fixes, then aim for a final release in late 
April?
