First point (about SLF4J): ok, I’ll try that.
Second point (tools.jar): I don’t see the relationship with this bug report.
The problem is that tools.jar is made an explicit (compile-time, and thus also
runtime) dependency and imposed on users, as far as I understand. Do you
disagree with that? Or do you agree with this claim but disagree with the fact
that it’s a problem?
