Summary: 3.5.4.1-alpha2 GPE : installing kernel modules packages:
                    modprobe not found
           Product: Openembedded
           Version: OpenZaurus 3.5.4.x
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Distributions
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
         QAContact: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

After having installed kernel-module-asix-2.6_2.6.16-r5_akita.ipk and
kernel-module-mii-2.6_2.6.16-r5_akita.ipk with ipkg, modprobe mii or modprobe
asix won't work.
It looks like depmod is not run... Maybe because update-modules specifies depmod
-A ?

Anyway, after having installed the kernel modules packages, these should be
available to modprobe so that, for instance, insertion of USB peripherals makes
them available.

Happens on Akita, with alpha2, btw.
