Summary: ldd fails to run against executables
Product: Openembedded
Version: OpenZaurus 3.5.4.x
Platform: ARM
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Distributions
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
QAContact: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ldd when installed on SL-5500 from the OE 3.5.4 feed, fails to list the lib's
that an executable depends on. It will display its help screen when requested.
When the ldd script from Debian 3.1 was installed on the Sl-5500 it ran
correctly after the first line was changed from using Bash to using sh.
Part way down the 3.5.4 ldd script, it mentions a work around for some
versions of Bash. I wonder if the 3.5.4 feed version is having problems working
with the ash shell supplied by busybox. The older ldd version in Debian 3.1
does not have this work around for Bash versions, and it works fine on the
SL-5500 version 3.5.4.
