Thanks Holger for the information. I created a wiki page with that
information so that any developer can refer to and update if necessary
(e.g. if variable name change, or ...) :

Koen suggested on irc to use distro-machine-target for the
TINDER_MACHINE name policy.
Please update the wiki if you prefer another policy.

PS: I made a test before creating the wiki page using the freedesktop
name policy, i.e. "cyrilRomain-i686" which is all but useful :-[. Could
you please kick my report (i don't have rights to) ?
