Hi, I'm not on this mailing list, but I do visit #oe and I have been asked to report the following issue here.
I was interested in dhclient. There is a package dhclient which gives a 2.something version. This one was not working for me (on NSLU2, (arm, big endian). I did spent some time getting this to work, only to disco ver afterwards that there is a package dhcp which contains a much newwer version (3.02) of dhclient and friends. In order to avoid that others run in the same pitfall, I propose to remove the package dhclient. As of now I do not feel confident enough to do this myself (as I am not sure what else would be affected; e.g. some of the conf/distro files might require a change as well), and there might be other things that need to be done that I do not know.
