All of the sh3 and sh4 site files have:
# strace
ac_cv_host=${ac_cv_host=sh-pc-linux-gnu}
and removing this fixes it. It's so obvious now that it has been pointed out.
Removing this from the site file breaks building of strace but I think fixing
strace is going to be a better option than hacking glibc.
I'll update my bug 961 to just add the changes for z-no-defs for sh4 which is
still needed.
I think this patch should be reverted from OE and the site files modified
instead.
