Hey people,
the OpenEmbedded project now has a official sub project, the
OpenEmbedded Documentation project. The team currently consists out
of two non-native speakers Koen Kooi and me. We are looking at
extending it with further documentation writers, proof readers and
anyone who is interested. So if you are interested send your resume
to [email protected] and we are glad to integrate your labor.
The project plan:
The Documentation Team will create a user and developer manual using
docbook. The user manual will highlight the architecture and
fundamental parts of OpenEmbedded. The focus will be on illustrating
on how to achieve common tasks using OpenEmbedded. This will include
how to get it, add new machines and distributions, include pre-built
toolchains, using BitBake collections and many more tasks.
For the most common tasks we plan to provide online tutorials. The
first one can already be viewed now.
