i belive that is a very hasty question at this point.

With the core-familiar devs trying to ship a 0.8.4 release
and no announcement from them on thier decisions for future
development, there is nothing to say at this point they will
not return to OE for 0.9.

There is/has been a certain amount of animosity regarding 
familiar and parts of OE recently which may or may not have
contributed to a breakdown in communications between the core
teams of both projects. Hopefully this is solved soon.
