Summary: altboot ought to behave better if there is no bootable
                    system at the target
           Product: Openembedded
           Version: OpenZaurus 3.5.4.x
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Distributions
        AssignedTo: [email protected]

Hi,

when there is no or only a corrupt boot system available from the requested
target, altboot will drop into a root shell. I have not yet figured out how to
recover from this (just "reboot" does not work). This can happen for example
if there is no boot image on the CF or SD card.

I think altboot should drop back to the screen where one can choose where to
boot from if the boot fails.

Regards

Rolf

PS: I hope it is clear what I meant.
