Good morning, Hrw.

I believe I've been excessively optimistic since the start of this project.

I missed all deadlines until now. I don't have anything useful to
show, neither any bug-infested code.

All I can offer is that I learnt a lot until now, from you, Erik,
Florian, Koen, Neal and all people involved in OE, Familiar and
HH.org. I had never needed using IRC rooms until now, and I've been
using it a lot, both to understand how open source development works
in practice and how it is made into reality, and of course to
understand how linux in ipaq really works, how software is bundled,
how packages are built and managed.

It took me a lot more time than I expected. I don't know where I took
the idea it would be so easy, or so fast, nor that it would be simply
a matter of transfering and adapting knowledge I have in
desktop/windows development.

I understand next week is mid-term evaluation time, and I have no
hopes of being positively evaluated then. There is little time to show
anything good to be considered "results" so what I want to ask is if I
can keep working on SoC even though I failed the mid-term evaluation.
I mean, is it possible to go until the end of SoC and receive the
certificate (and let's not forget the tshirt), even though I failed in
the middle but recovered in the end? I do want a chance to get it done
and tell everybody I did it until the end, even though I slipped in
the middle.

Finally, I want to deeply apologize for sending such message now, but
I believe it would be best to tell it now, than having you upset about
my progress. (As if you aren't already).

Best Regards

Marcos.
