I spent day on this yesterday and I have not managed to get past it. I will
check out the Dreambox branch to see what they do to fix it later.
First I thought that the bug was down to the host GCC version which was 4.1.1
or something else on my Fedora 5 box (runing on AMD_64) that was not
compatible. To confirm this was the case I resorted to using a virtual machine
to buil the toolchain from a fresh install of Debian. The same problem
occurred. I conclude that it is nothing to do with the host toolchain
therefore.
I have also tried various machine configurations and distro variants - all with
no success. Currently the status of this bug means that x86 targetted builds
are impossible to achieve.
