Greetings,
The superH isnt an large arch and therefore very little is supported for it
currently. Most of the issues I experience I believe is due to gcc errors
rather than any fault in the software itself.
Opie-image wasnt possible before gcc 4.1.1 for instance.
Opie SRCDATE= 20060627 works fine for me, but instead of patching the 1.2.2
for everyone else (no idea whats the issue currently as I havent saved the
logs), I set a SRCDATE which works.
I'm very much interested in getting all images to work (opie, gpe..) but
until a good gcc is produced thats not likely. Im under way to supply gcc
with bugreports but want to get this Donkey release under way before that.
About the SRCDATE issue, I tried to get information on the channel if
preferred_version = "<packagename>+cvs-<date>" wouldnt work better, but
since no one replied and I never got it to work myself I decided to create
the include file which uses SRCDATE instead.
Any other approach you may suggest is very much welcome.
Other suggestions which I've put forward (although on channel), is to be
able to set different packages for bootstrap-image and opie-image. And also
being able to insert scripts into each one of those. That way we could clear
out some of the images.
I also believe that although my jlime-donkey.conf file is abit filled, it
supplies developers which good information about settings/variables that
might be usefull for other distros.
Best wishes
Kristoffer

conf/distro/jlime-donkey.conf : changed opie SRCDATE = 20060627
I'm a bit worried that you rather work around problems instead of trying
to debug them.
