that's from distro/generic.conf:
DISTRO_NAME = "generic-glibc"
DISTRO_VERSION = ".dev-snapshot-${SRCDATE}"
#DISTRO_TYPE = "release"
DISTRO_TYPE = "debug"
which is a little screwy don't you think??
