David E. Jones commented on OFBIZ-163:
--------------------------------------

Good question Marco... This issue does actually come from the mailing list and
is a very early concept and is not really actionable without at least some
resources dedicated to design, let alone implementation... I guess we might as
well close this for now.

> Enhancement of the formwidget. For storing form "value-templates" and such as
> described in the thread on the mailinglist:
> Extract from the thread:
> Michael,
> This sounds like it would be a very nice tool, and it should be quite
> possible to implement, including a data model that could generically
> store template field values.
> This would require less effort than what has been discussed about the
> help system, but it is still a fair amount of effort. It's great to
> send ideas to the mailing lists and I'm sure everyone appreciates it
> since there is a chance that someone will need something like these in
> the future and will have the resources available to get it done. Before
> that I wouldn't expect much... There are dozens or hundreds of ideas
> about what to do with the project every month and probably 90% of them
> don't get implemented or are not implemented until perhaps months or
> years later. It's really a resource issue, for everyone...
