I think this is just fine and would work well as a webapp inside the
product component.

The work has been initially contributed by Daniel Goodwin, reviewed
by me, and improved by Ray Barlow (that seems interested in
continuing this effort).
I too could do some work in my poor spare time :-( but I'd bet that
others would be interested in it.
If you are ok I'll take care of reviewing and adding it to the
repository, and also of integrating new future contributions.
