Cannot navigate to later screens of invoice items from invoiceOverview

If you have more than 100 invoice items and attempt to navigate to the next
screen (via the "Next" button at the bottom of the item list), an error is
generated...
org.ofbiz.webapp.control.RequestHandlerException: Unknown request
[InvoiceItems]; this request does not exist or cannot be called directly.
The work-around is to go to the "Items" screen and navigate to subsequent
screens of invoice items from there. This is painful, but also may be a problem
if the user does not have permission to edit invoice items (not sure about
this).
