[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-215?page=comments#action_12453669 ] Daniel Kunkel commented on OFBIZ-215: -------------------------------------
Ahhh... A bit more testing and reviewing this a bit yielded some additional info: Not a lot more keywords... As reported, the long description was included in the search, but the product description was not. For us, the long description is the very long, very wordy description of the product, whereas the product description was a short list of the highlights, title, author, etc. Indexing - Re-indexing Indeed, the "re-induce" keywords does seem to include both the Product Description and long description, but no reindexing appears to be done when updating the content. In the keyword tab, the screen says: "Keywords are automatically created when product information is changed, but you may manually CREATE or DELETE keywords here as well." which makes me think the software should automatically be updating the keyword list each time the content is edited. This may be the problem. > Search Product Description as well as Long Description > ------------------------------------------------------ > > Key: OFBIZ-215 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-215 > Project: OFBiz (The Open for Business Project) > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: ecommerce > Environment: svn on Linux > Reporter: Daniel Kunkel > Priority: Trivial > > Currently the search feature is populated from the Long Description, but not > Product Description. > If certain terms are used only in the Product Description but not Long > Description, the search returns no results. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
