Whatever we come up with will get posted. we are still trying to decide
which route to take. so to speak.
1) Make the current ofbiz usps services MAC certified so it can print
permit imprints for postage and manifests for usps
2) integrate with something like harveysoft (which we do now on the
legacy system) HS can be configured to use odbc to read a remote db. I
imagine others work similarly.
3) Integrate with a third party postage provider such as Stamps.com etc.
not sure if these are usps only providers or if all have api(s) available.
We send out 500 packages a day via USPS and 1000+ during peak. Next
year, we will do 2000 USPS packages per day during peak.
so we are interested in hearing about how others are doing postage.

Hi
Thanks... Enjoy!!! It's a beautiful day here.
Perhaps as you're testing, you could review, comment, verify and/or
improve the patch so it could go into SVN. I've already got an iCLA, and
might help others.
Thanks

Hi
We currently use the USPS's ClicknShip service manually... it's pretty
easy, and works quite well.
Thanks

Daniel,
Thanx I'll go take a look.
How are you handling postage?

Hi Fred
I believe your correct. If memory serves, OFBiz is still using the Rate,
not RateV2 service.
I was able to get the USPS services working. More info is at:
http://jira.undersunconsulting.com/browse/OFBIZ-657
I may have done some more work on the module since that patch was
written, but I think that was only to convert the product weights
correctly.
Thanks

Hi All,
Are the USPS shipping services functional? They do not seem to meet the
RateV2 spec for USPS Webtools. Also, assuming they do work, how does one
handle printing the postage?
Thanx
Fred
