HotWax Media (the guys who did the recent logo revision) have completed some
brochures for Apache OFBiz, as well as some business cards for the project.

You can see them here:

They are working on a revision of the tri-fold brochure that can be effectively
cropped and printed on a normal color laser printer, but still look good with
professional to-the-edge printing. The current ones are intended to to-the-edge
printing.

For the upcoming OSCON show I'd like to do professional printing for the
brochures the same as I have done for the business cards. The cards were $200
for 2000 (so I have plenty if anyone wants some, paying for the printing costs
of course).

The brochures are quite a bit more expensive, especially on a shorter time
frame... I am planning right now on printing them on my color laser and then
having them folded somewhere, and only doing ~200 of them. Having 250
professionally printed by the end of the week would cost about $600. For larger
quantities are longer times it is cheaper. For the same turn around time for
2000 it would cost about $900. If there is someone in the Portland area we
could ship these to instead of shipping them to Utah before I start driving to
Portland it gives us a couple of extra days and we could get the prices down to
$500 and $700. If we had more time with this same place (like 2 full weeks...)
the prices come down to around $350 (for 250) and $500 (for 2000).

So, anyway, if someone is interested in helping with OFBiz marketing expenses
it would help a lot and we could do professional printing for the upcoming
OSCON show. If so, please contact me ASAP, I pretty much have to decide
tomorrow or it's too late for professional printing.

Also, looking out a bit further: we could print a lot of these and share the
cost among multiple companies and then also split the brochures for use in
complementing our own marketing materials and to help promote the project at
events like OSCON, ApacheCON, and dozens of other potential conferences we can
(and hopefully will) be attending in the near future.

Thanks!
-David
