I do know from experience that some email clients like to $%^& up
URLs when they display emails, especially if it was wrapped onto a
new line, but not only then...

The command *should* be
svn switch http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ofbiz/trunk
The email he sent out had a space between the slash after
the .org and repos and gave a similar error message.
