-------- IF YOU WANT MORE INFO, READ BELOW---------

Hello,

You are receiving this message either as a primary or secondary contact <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_user_groups/User_Group_Primary_Contact_Rights_%26_Expectations> of a recognized Wikimedia movement Affiliate that is currently compliant with their reporting obligations (list of all Affiliates currently compliant <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_movement_affiliates/Affiliates_Status_Report/Archive/2025-07>).

This is a friendly reminder that the shortlisting process to produce 6 (six) final candidates that will be voted on by the wider community is open until Monday, July 28, 2025 at 23:59 UTC. Your group is eligible to participate in the shortlisting process based on the candidates’ alignment with the requirements and desired criteria for candidates <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_elections/2025/Candidate_application>.

 * If your affiliate has identified your representative for the
   shortlisting process by filing out the LimeSurvey that was sent
   alongside the previous email, you can go ahead and participate in
   the shortlisting process.
 * If your affiliate did not manage to identify your representative for
   the shortlisting process in time (i.e. you did not fill out the
   LimeSurvey), we will accept votes only either from the primary
   contact or the secondary contact

<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_user_groups/User_Group_Primary_Contact_Rights_%26_Expectations>
 of
   the Affiliate as listed in the Foundation’s database.
 * Please ensure that only one response per affiliate is submitted.

Here’s the course of action for the shortlisting process:

[Note: LimeSurvey is a third-party service that may subject it to additional terms. For more information on privacy and data-handling, see the survey privacy statement <https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Legal:Board_Candidate_Shortlisting_Process_2025_Privacy_Statement>.]

 * Go to xxxurl
 *

   Fill out the following questions:

     o Name of the Affiliate
     o Name or username of the representative
     o

       Select up to 6 candidates that your Affiliate decided to be most
       aligned with the Board’s requirements and desired criteria

     o There will be a list of all 12 (twelve) eligible candidates, and
       you will be able to select a maximum of 6 candidates; these
       candidates are not ranked.
     o

       Documentation on the affiliate’s decision-making process to
       arrive at this selection.

         + This can be a description of your process, a link to a wiki
           page, Google Doc, Etherpad, or similar. You may also opt to
           email the documentation separately to [email protected]
           <mailto:[email protected]>
     o Comment (if there is anything else not covered by this form)
 * You may submit your vote until Monday, July 28, 2025 at 23:59 UTC.

After the shortlisting process concludes, the 6 (six) candidates who receive the highest number of votes will be announced by the Elections Committee on Wikimedia-l and Meta-wiki, but without publicly mentioning their ranking. As mentioned on the Meta page <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_elections/2024#Shortlisting_process>, the results of this shortlisting process will be shared after the election closes, to avoid influencing the vote.

If you have any questions, please reply all to this email.
