Hello and thanks for your answer.
What I want is: to run offlineIMAP as root in order to get a user mail box and 
to store it locally but I want to store it not as root:roo but instead as 
vmail:vmail. I prefer to have this user and group specified at the offlineIMAP 
and not to change ownership (user & group) afterwards.
What do you think?

Do you mean a user group for your operating system?
