The "Select name from msysobjects where type = 5" works like a treat - from within

Thanks for that pointer folks.
However Access seems reluctant to give up her secrets to the outside world.
When one tries the same statement from BDE and other Interfaces we are told that read
permision of msysobjects is denied.
I tried building a Query then accessing that Query but the result (vein hope) was the
same.
I have Admin rights to Access but this seems to fall short - any clues?
As this is no longer a BDE problem Ill move it to OFFTOPIC
