I use the plain old GNU rcs - it's really just a command line interface - it suits me
since
I have a perl script which automatically builds my projects - it means I can always
reproduce a particular
build exactly just by typing >buildall <VERSIONNAME>
RCS is faster than PVCS since it stores the most recent version with deltas for
previous versions rather than the other way around. I've never much liked any of the
graphical frontends
for PVCS, Source safe etc.

Eliot Muir
