You could also, if its only a web/mail/defined services server, block
all ports that are not in use (or rather, enable only the ones you want)
easy to do in NT - look at the TCP/IP -> Advanced -> Security
properties. You can even stop pinging if you REALLY want (ie, it blocks
all ICMP packets - not good in general)
