I have used Lotus Screencam twice for siginificant walkthoughs.
I have found the sound synchronisation a little flaky and varies from driver
to driver. But if you have several PCs to experiment with, you can usually
find one that can works. The Microsoft Camcorder struck me as easier to use
but at the time it wouldn't run on WinNT.
I can't really recommend either product.

Subject: [DUG-OFFTOPIC]: Presentation software

Hi guys

I am wanting to put together a CD that I can use to distibute along with
a brochure on my application.

I don't want to provide a working demo copy of the software, but I do
want to be able to provide a "walk-through" of the software to show most
of the screens, what functions they perform, previews of QReports and
how the whole system fits together and works.

I would like to be able to add a voice commentary.

I understand that there is a Microsoft Camcorder utility that will do
this sort of thing in a fashion, but it is not easy to edit and alter
the original take - ie it has to be recorded pretty much in real time.

What is avaiable out there to put this sort of thing together. Any
first hand experiences would be interesting.

Thanks

Mark
