...er yes, Telecom would no doubt want it free (beer), but the thought of hordes of h@ck3erz from around the world playing with mainframe app's (and data?) probably keeps MIS managers awake at night.
Of course keeping all that sort of code in cobol would probably help - somehow I doubt there are legions of open source cobol hackers out there <g>
