HI all,
The procedure to unsubscribe is simple:
send a message to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
in the body of the message put the word
unsubscribe offtopic
No subject line is required.
Replace offtopic with whatever list name you want off from. eg delphi, interbase etc.
This does work, as I use it every day for general list management. The only proviso is
that you send the message from the mail
reader that you receive the messages to - ie the listserver picks up your reply-to
address from the message, and uses that to
identify WHO to unsubscribe. If you have changed your email address, all you need do
is send a normal message to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
and I will remove you manually.
BTW I replied to Magnus when he first appeared on our lists and he has failed to
respond to any of my replies to sort out his
problem. Tonight he bombed the offtopic list with a dozen or so messages ( I stopped
most of them), so I manually removed him
from offtopic (I already did that for the main Delphi List last week).
As we now have 'closed' lists, he must have subscribed at some stage. He has also
never participated in the list (I did a search). I
just looked and he did subscribe on the 18-March.

So this is the life of a List Administrator - people who have no thanks for the free
service we provide - here I am at 12-45 am
trying to sort these things out, when I should be in bed!!. If people subscribe to the
list, then accuse us of spamming, well they
do not have my sympathy. Even more so that I emailed the guy politely offering my
help. Then this!!
Enough of my rant - I hope you all now understand HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE!!
