Under Redhat 7.1, if you login as "root" you will get an error 10 when
installing Kylix.
Solution: Do not login as root. If you login as any other user the install
should go thru fine without any errors.

I think I had this problem too. I installed it as a user rather than
root...not sure if this helps.
