Hi all
First a big thank you for all the replies and ideas - very much appreciated. I'm now trying to work through all of the responses to see where to go from here.
All user PCs here are on preconfigured standardised PC installs of NT 4.0, IE 5.5 SP1, etc. I found a few developers PCs where my Webpages actually worked (on SP1 & one on SP2), without needing to install IE 6. So either they've had a slightly different machine build or the developer has installed something themselves, which enables my pages to work. This X factor is what I'm trying to track down.
I'll try installing MSXML 4.0, as I've only tried MSXML 3.0 to date I think. I like the idea of doing these Web pages server side (will look into this). However I'm brand new to all this web stuff and a month ago, had no idea what xml, xslt, css, asp, etc. were! I'm now hooked on xml and the concept of dynamic HTML pages produced on the fly. However I was and still am rather resistant to learning all the xslt & xpath syntax. My reaction was - this seems to be a whole lot of mini-languages hobbled together which <seem> rather ugly and hard to understand (might be just my resistance to a whole lot of brain strain). I was hoping for an elegant solution with components in Delphi or C# and some powerful classes. Oh well.
Thanks again for all the great feedback. Will let you know when it's fixed, how the problem was solved. Dave Jollie (: 09 368 4259 -----Original Message-----

Yup, MS have a nice bit of kit called the XSLISAPI filter. It can be a b$%#ch to get goiong initially but it is very nice..... Can also allow selective server based transforms based on browser type- i.e. IE 6 transforms on the client, IE 4 and NS 4 transform on the server.
