Hi all,
We are just looking at deploying a new web server and are currently
looking at deploying it using Apache on a Windows platform... In the
future we will try and look at Linux, but we need to do something
reasonably quickly...
For serving web pages, do we need to use the Server version of Windows,
or can we get away with the Professional version? It would probably be
Windows 2000 (as opposed to XP). I also see there is a special Web
Server version, not sure how this works with Apache (which is a
requirement).
Any info appreciated.
