If you want to help the Christchurch rebuild - and yourself! - take a look at the survey results at http://InsuranceWatch.org.nz which show how well each of the main insurers has been helping their quake-affected customers. Which company would you rather be insured with? While Cantabrians don't have the luxury of changing insurers at present, homeowners in the rest of Australasia can. Voting with your wallets would be the best possible way of rewarding the good performers, and motivating the laggards to pick up their act -- to everyone's benefit.
