Hello all. Back in September I tacked a casual invitation for expressions of interest in the purchase of my software business onto James Sugrue' "Whatever happened to?" thread.
I have now engaged a business broker to handle the sale for me and wish to formally ask anyone who might be interested to drop me a line, off-list. Those who responded in September are already noted, although if any wish to confirm their continuing interest, that is just fine. The business involves: User support (by phone and email - site visits seldom required), deveolpment, customising, sales and installations. User Base: 28 sites from Kaitaia to Invercargill Turnover: around $115,000 90% of the income is passive ie from annual license fees Costs: for an existing software business additional costs are negligible - computer, D7, DBISAM, telephone, office space. Time: Over the last 3 months I have spent less than 5 hours per week - a long term trend may be closer to 8. The application is the "software of choice" within the industry. There would be a need to apply ones self to learning sufficient about the application and the industry to adequately support users. This opportunity would not be suitable for a career programmer - it requires a person with some commercial/world experience. Please email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] to express your interest. I am happy to answer any general questions you may have, to help you decide on your level of interest, but detailed questions will be handled by the broker (to ensure everyone is handled equitably).
