What is the development (I am interested in C#) job market like in Tauranga ???
Are there many jobs - or - Are there only a few jobs and those who have them
are hanging on to them?

Tauranga!!! (apparently half of Auckland IS trying)
Of course we don't actually have a university, but the Polytech here offers
the Degree now.

We have lots of rich people (although the single males are all in hiding)
and HEAPS of nerds (I think they may actually be the same people :)

Subject: [DUG-Offtopic] Silicon Valley NZ?

in http://paulgraham.com/siliconvalley.html Paul Graham writes :

"I think you only need two kinds of people to create a technology hub: rich people and nerds. They're the limiting reagents in the reaction that produces startups,"

and :

"To spawn startups, your university has to be in a town that has attractions other than the university. It has to be a place where investors want to live, and students want to stay after they graduate."

Question : where is the best place in NZ for this?

Auckland? Napier?
/me thinks not Wellington, but I'm biased : I'm back there
in a few weeks...

What town would you move to for a job?
