To summarize the GASNet status:

GASNet contains an "ofi-conduit" which requires certain features in the
libfabric provider, which neither the verbs nor psm1 provider implement
(though the psm2 provider does, among others). This was responsible for
Sayan's initial problems.

There is also a psm-conduit in GASNet, which (despite the name) supports
only psm2, as used for Omni-Path and not psm1 for Truescale.
This was responsible for some added confusion.

Both ofi- and psm-conduits were contributed to GASNet by Intel.
However, Intel has chosen to discontinue development on the psm-conduit.
