I am not really happy about this here. I prefer that we do that right
from the beginning. Multiple modem support should be default.

Don't bother with the conditional stuff. Just always built in the
plugin. There is no harm here and I can sort this out later cleanly when
we have a bit better understanding of what requires what.

I would prefer that the signal watch is done insider the mid_connect and
mid_disconnect callback.

Please store the DBusConnection as a global public variable. Getting it
twice here is not what I prefer to do.
