You are right, it was my misunderstanding. What actually happens is that some layer under ofono (maybe the acm-adc driver of our "old" kernel 2.6.37), detects an error in the communication and close the port: simply ofono gets an HUP error on the "modem" port and stop receving any data. I don't think this issue should be resolved in ofono.
