FYI, Alan's email to ON mailing lists was not the beginning of this
communication - it was the last phase of communication that started in June.

Email to people with accounts on opensolaris.org started in June to
explain the coming changes to the site that started with the deployment
of the new membership management application in August. These emails
also told people they would need to validate their accounts once the new
application was available. More email was sent after the deployment in
August, and it included a deadline of November 3, 2009.

A final push was done inside Sun this month to get Sun employees to
finish validating their accounts because account information will be
used to verify integrations to source repositories on the site and to
consolidations that use that data. The deadline for this push was
January 15, 2010.

All accounts that have not been validated will be inactivated on January
22, 2010. Until April 22, 2010, accounts can be re-activated if the
owner of the account requests that action.

Thanks.

Bonnie
