Well, I have an opinion here. I feel that the open source communities can be a little too quick to pounce sometimes and maybe we can give the benefit of the doubt. I suggest we just send out a few emails first to nudge the candidates who *may* not have been aware that they ever needed to publish a "statement". Some people are just well known and we all know who they are because they never stop blogging! :-) others, well, not so well known perhaps. Also, we have a historical path behind us where there were people last year that were nominated, accepted, never made a public statement of intentions and they were involved in the election all the way to the bitter end. So therefore, I would not be too hasty to simply call for a public lynching or for a ever so subtle nudge off the podium and into the unwashed masses forever to be forgotten. I am simply saying, we have been here before even if we didn't know it. Dennis
