SPARC is a primary platform for OpenSolaris-O/N ( if not the distro ),
and therefore everyone needs to worry about their code working on
them, so it's top-level. PPC/Itanium/zArchitecture isn't, so they'd
fit in an OpenSolaris/Alt community
